ME – Uni-Bros.'s Director Board participated in the Investment Promotion Conference held by Tien Giang Province on 29 January 2010.

At the conference, Tien Giang offered 116 investment projects with total capital of 192,035 billion dongs, equivalent to 10.6 billion USD.

In its investment orientation since 2010, Tien Giang focus mainly on investment for construction of an uninterrupted transportation system in order to link smoothly with other provinces and cities in the region. The province will give priority to fund for upgrade and construction works in transportation infrastructure.

The key transportation infrastructure projects of Tien Giang in coming time are: Upgrading Tieu Estuary channel in Tien River and repair Soai Rap river to clean flows for heavy weight vessels; Renovating, upgrading and constructing new river ports including My Tho Port and upgrading Cho Gao channel, Thap Muoi Channel No.2; construction of a general and dedicated terminal port which is a satellite wharf for Ho Chi Minh City Port  along Soai Rap river (Go Cong) for 20 – 50 thousand ton vessels.

The Conference is a chance for Uni-Bros to access to investment information and grasp investment opportunities in Tien Giang in 2010 and the following years.
